Ned Erickson

Falling into Love is the laugh out loud memoir of a fool at love. Ned and "Leela's" story is both hilarious and heart-warming, humiliating and honest. You won't regret picking it up, and you'll have a hard time putting it down!

From the Back Cover: Every marriage tells a story. This one's not a fairy-tale marriage or a marriage on the rocks. Just an average, healthy relationship between a woman and a man - a man who can't seem to get anything right. In fact, Ned Erickson is a walking disaster. Before they start dating, his future wife can't stand him. He flubs one Valentine's Day after another. He loses his wedding ring. Falling into Love is the unique, hilarious story of a couple choosing to love each other despite the foibles and flaws of ordinary life.

from the BACK COVER

Have you ever wondered if there was something more to life? Have you wondered what it was? Or wondered how to get it? Clay has. Wonderings like that curl around his mind like question marks and keep him up at night. That is, they do until the day a boy bumps up the road.   This is a story about what happens on the journey toward meaning and purpose. What happens to Clay will surprise you, shock you. It may even reshape how you see things, including yourself.

Q. Where are you from?

A. I grew up in Philadelphia, but now I live in North Carolina.

Q. Do you have children?

A. Yes. I have two children: a girl named Anna Rose, and a boy named David. I call him Dave Dave. His name echoes because he is so cool. I also have a wife named Lia, and two dogs named Winnie and Summer.

Q. What do you like to do?

A. I love the mountains! Some activities that I enjoy are rock climbing, hiking, and distance running. I am also in a rock band called Socratic Method. I really like playing music.

Q. When did you become a writer?

A. It probably happened before I was aware of it happening. I remember in high school my teacher played a trick on our class. He pretended to be reading from a magazine called the New Yorker but instead he read a short story of mine. Every one was surprised. Including me!

Q. Is it true that you dreamed the story of Clay?

A. Yes. I don't usually dream like that.Last night, I dreamt that I was hanging out with my friends and  we were playing this game called What Are The Odds and I kept losing. I don't think I'll write a story about that dream.

Q. Do you have any other books?

A. Yes! I have a book called Falling Into Love. It is VERY funny and a little embarrassing because I put all this personal stuff in it because I never thought it would get published! Ha!

Q. What is your next book?

A. I plan to write more books for the 426 Series. Meanwhile, I am working on a novel starring Bigfoot!

Q. What is your favorite food?

A. Chips and salsa. Wait. Is that two foods?

Q. What is one thing you wish you could do?

A. I wish I could roll my "r's"
